Crossley, Morfitt and Lennox are a family firm that you can trust. Long established in Tenerife, we now have a selection of Cape Verde property available for you to view if you are considering buying an apartment or a new development off plan, in Cape Verde, property is a sound investment.

What does Cape Verde property have to offer potential homebuyers and those looking for investment?

In brief, great financial incentives if you obtain resident status (subject to certain conditions) you may qualify for certain privileges including, exemption from some taxes/fees when importing personal effects and purchasing property. In Cape Verde additional incentives are available if you decide to invest funds or intend setting up a new business.

For the past 18 months the Cape Verde Islands have been termed a "holiday hotspot" and as a result, Cape Verde property and land has been a great investment.

The Cape Verde archipelago consists of a series of small islands, nestled in the Atlantic Ocean, 460km from the coast of Senegal. Influenced by its proximity to Africa the climate benefits from temperatures between 22 – 27 degrees all year round, but this can fluctuate, influenced by the Sahara, strong hot winds abound between December and April. Later in the year, July through to September is the rainy season (if they decide to turn up – 1968 saw the start of a twelve year drought!). But, don’t let this deter you from buying a Cape Verde property, the islands are breathtaking.

The Cape Verde Islands became independent in 1975 from Portugal; the official language is Portuguese and the capital Praia is situated on the island of Santiago.

If you’re considering buying an apartment off plan in one of the new developments, then in the largest of the Leeward Islands – Santiago, you will find a mountainous, volcanic range cascading to lush valleys below, from where the island’s agricultural produce originates. Santiago is famous for its elevated rock plains and on top of one sits the sprawling capital of Praia.

If you choose buying a Cape Verde property on Sal, "The Salt Island" you will never be far from a glistening white sandy beach and clear blue crystal waters, as the island is only 30km long and 12km wide.

The southern coastal town of Santa Maria is an ideal location if you are looking for Cape Verde property. Situated some 25 minutes from the airport, Santa Maria is a developed tourist resort with established hotels, bars and restaurants.

Sal is a perfect destination for an apartment on one of the new developments for those of you wanting to sunbathe, surf or find shells and sea birds. Sal is a great base from which to island hop to other smaller islands such as Boavista, some 50km away.

Our team here at Crossley, Morfitt and Lennox can arrange inspection trips for you to see just exactly what Cape Verde property is available and what the islands have to offer. For those seeking an idyllic retreat in an up and coming resort then buying a Cape Verde property is a must.
